Frequently Asked Questions

Is my information made public?

No. Unlike some websites, we do not have a public gallery of members. This is for your security and privacy. We do not publish our list of casting directors, film makers or studios for the same reason.

What does a “film-extra” do?

Before you do anything, you will have to show some photographic ID and sign a “model release form”. Every day and every job is different. As an example we had a director looking for 8 “extra” passengers to sit on a bus whilst the driver and a passenger got intimate. An after rugby shower scene needed 5 “extra” rugby players to shower in the background. The usual window cleaner up a ladder, gardener, bystander or whatever is a regular requirement. Most days there are only one or two scenes to shoot, but it could take all day. Food and refreshments are usually available all day. If the shoot is in a remote location, transport is often provided. Most of the day is spent waiting and talking to the actors and film crew, so use this opportunity to network and find your next job.

What information will I get about each job?

Example 1: We are looking for extras this Saturday the 24th in North London. Starting at 10.00am. It is a hospital setting and I need 3 women who are comfortable in sexy nurse costumes, NO nudity. We also need male and female “extras” for general hospital traffic. Once again there is NO nudity for these extras, but they must be very comfortable in this environment. We also need 2 male “extras” wearing open hospital gowns. (partial nudity)

Example 2: New adult film company run and filmed by women needs actors, and “extras” for filming in January London and Brighton. We are a small company who takes good care of our team. We offer top rates of pay and regular repeat work for the right people.

I have no experience, can I still get work?

Absolutely! We have work for everyone! Many film shoots call for “amateurs” for the authentic look! Very few castings require previous experience. It’s more important to have the right attitude and enthusiasm. Everyone has to start somewhere! Please note that you must be 18 or over. You may still be refused work even if you just look under 18.

Will I get the chance to act in a film?

You will need to apply for an "active" role with us. Until now opportunities have been very few. Usually new actors must be willing to travel and take the less popular jobs. These days the internet has created many more opportunities for actors and we currently have studios looking for new faces. You DO NOT need to have a current medical certificate because these roles do not include sex. Each shoot will require you to sign a model release form and you may need to be available at short notice. The cost to go on this list is £189.95 for 12 months. You will be included as an “extras” free.
